We will introduce fascia pathophysiology and ultrasound imaging findings in the scientific literature and how it may inform clinical evaluation and interventions. We will review relevant literature and associated ultrasound imaging techniques, anatomy and findings regarding commonly studied regions. There will be an additional focus on Hypermobile Spectrum Disorders and hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Biography:
Dr. Tina J Wang is a board-certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation medical doctor and clinician researcher. She is a fascia researcher, and her published research is focused on Hypermobile Spectrum Disorders/ Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes. Dr. Wang is an Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and the University of California at Riverside and is core faculty for the musculoskeletal curriculum including the use of imaging-based diagnosis and interventions.
